Since I started making music around 2014, when I was 16 years old, I've had two opposed ways of making music. Two different types of music, different ways of creating, different techniques, emotions and pacing. Like two entities inhabiting a body. One makes energetic music to channel anger and excitement. The other one is the relief valve for vulnerability. Fear, insecurities, frustration, pain, suffering... But also happiness, nostalgia, joy... That is why I divided my music into two projects: Kaymane and north. As Kaymane, I make aggressive and energetic electronic music. As north, I make ambient, downtempo and whatever comes to mind. north is more of an archive, a free project, where I play around and dump everything I feel like making, wherever curiosity or emotion takes me. However, Kaymane and north share a lot of things and could not be one without the other. This is why I decided to join them in Duality.
This album is divided in two sides, A and B. Side A belongs to Kaymane and contains eight original electronic music tracks. Side B belongs to north, and it contains reinterpretations of the tracks in Side A (excluding intro, interlude and outro). The way it works is, each track in side B is made using a musical, rhythmical or conceptual idea from its corresponding track in Side A. When you choose a side, you can stream the different songs in it, check the track's information (TRACK INFO BUTTON) and also go to the same track on the other side of the album (↔ button).
